Quick checks
Most setup problems involve the registered website origin, the Site ID, missing approved business knowledge, or a feature that is still in beta.
- Confirm you can sign in to the SiteSathi dashboard and select the intended website.
- Confirm the website is Verified and the chatbot is enabled on that site's actual origin.
- Check that at least one approved FAQ exists for a known test question.
- Open the website in a private browser window, repeat the test and inspect the SiteSathi Conversations page.
Troubleshooting
Why am I getting a generic fallback answer?
Direct FAQ matching may work before document answers do. Confirm that your PDF, DOCX or text source is indexed, then test a relevant question in Knowledge Base matching. For unsupported questions, the chatbot intentionally avoids inventing business facts.
Why is ownership verification failing?
Use the exact verification token currently displayed in the dashboard. Updating the website origin can rotate the token. On custom domains, configure the TXT record at your DNS provider. On supported managed static hosts, the HTTPS verification-file method may be available.
Why do I receive a 403 when embedding?
The backend checks whether the website is verified and whether the browser is embedding from its registered allowed origin. Verify the HTTPS scheme, hostname and matching Site ID before editing any configuration.
Why can't a visitor request human support?
The visitor generally needs to send a chat message to establish a conversation first. Human support also requires explicit consent to share the conversation. Requesting support does not guarantee an agent is available immediately.
Can I pay directly on the marketing website?
Not currently. Public checkout and automated renewals are not available on the prelaunch marketing website. Do not transfer funds without confirmed payee details and an agreed written offer. See Cancellation & refunds.
Where are conversations stored?
Conversation data is stored by the hosted SiteSathi service, not by the WordPress connector. Please review the privacy policy before enabling the widget.
